On the Canon R5 the 4K HQ mode is 4K footage that is downsampled from the full 8K sensor. All of the footage in the video was created using the Canon R5 and RF 400 f/2.8. But what if i told you that none of this was created using a tripod! Filming at a 400mm focal distance isn't exactly easy even with a good tripod but using handheld can be extremely challenging. You're all probably thinking why i purposely didn't use a tripod. Well it wasn't without trying. Being in an open top safari vehicle isn't practical for using a tripod. Thankfully there's plenty of areas to rest the lens for stabilisation. The Canon R5 also has in body stabilisation along with 5.5 stops of support when combined with the lens. When this is also combined with the warp stabilisation within Adobe Premiere the final results are remarkable. All work is my own.
